There is still a lot to be done and rebuilt, (my husband is working on insulating the basement today! Yay!) but we are definitely back to a new kind of normal and it's been good.kalyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00677931179722378118noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7138761490690167779.post-63399498616644587852013-10-13T05:33:13.832-07:002013-10-13T05:33:13.832-07:00Wow Kaly. These images are heartbreaking but the photo of the four men, standing there covered in mud from cleaning up and they are all smiling! What a touching scene. I hope things are starting to resemble normal again for you soon.Ness @ One Perfect Dayhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08988482886659570719noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7138761490690167779.post-30350364266865148352013-09-26T10:24:42.989-07:002013-09-26T10:24:42.989-07:00Thanks Myrna. We've been so busy cleaning, organizing, and repairing, and living our "normal" lives, I haven't had a chance to do any more updates here, but I should be able to soon.
kalyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00677931179722378118noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7138761490690167779.post-82568700987080391292013-09-26T08:47:42.191-07:002013-09-26T08:47:42.191-07:00I can't believe I did not read this earlier. It's a different kind of home than the one we've been used to, but it is home and the boys have been acting so differently. They are glad to be home too.
Thanks for stopping by!kalyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00677931179722378118noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7138761490690167779.post-6936014235236946562013-08-14T07:19:05.211-07:002013-08-14T07:19:05.211-07:00That is so unbelievable. Watching this is almost as painful as watching the revolution in Egypt—two places I love so much going through such terrible times while I'm stuck elsewhere, unable to dig in and help. It's like survivor's guilt, I tell you.

That picture of your cheerful wreath on your door was so...ironic...to this situation. Poignant picture, poignant post.

My heart is breaking for you, but I do appreciate your attitude about this—your expressions of miracles and faith and moving-on. :)Nancyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08631734965938273438noreply@blogger.com
